Getting in

Enter through the main door, up the garden staircase. The lock is a smart lock: type the code on the keypad and turn the handle. The exact code arrives by WhatsApp on your arrival day.

How everything works.

Induction hob

  1. Tap the power button at the right corner of the worktop.
  2. Place the pan and select the zone on the display.
  3. Slide your finger along the bar to adjust power (9 is maximum).

Oven

  1. Turn the left dial to choose the mode (fan with circle is the most versatile).
  2. Turn the right dial for temperature.
  3. Preheat for 10 minutes; the light goes off when it's ready.

Washer-dryer

  1. It's in the utility room next to the kitchen.
  2. Use the Mix 40º programme for everyday loads; add drying with the spiral button.
  3. Detergent is in the cupboard above.

Zoned air conditioning

  1. Each floor has its thermostat next to the staircase.
  2. Tap the screen and adjust with the arrows.
  3. It pauses automatically when windows are open: that's normal.

Gas fireplaces

  1. The living room and terrace fireplaces work with the grey remote in each room.
  2. Hold the flame button for 3 seconds to light.
  3. They switch off automatically after 2 hours for safety.

House rules

  • No smoking inside the house; there are ashtrays on the terrace.
  • Events and celebrations only with the host's prior authorisation.
  • Outdoors, keep the volume low from 11 pm to 8 am: sound travels down the hillside.
  • Maximum 8 overnight guests.
  • The pool has no lifeguard; children must always be accompanied.

Before you leave.

  1. Close all windows and sliding doors, including the dining room.
  2. Turn off fireplaces and air conditioning.
  3. Leave rubbish in the bins at the property entrance.
  4. Pull the main door shut until it clicks; the code deactivates automatically.
